446,958. Spacing-mechanism for gearcutting &c. LINDNER GES., H., 9, L³barserstrasse, Wittenau, Berlin. Nov. 18, 1935, No. 31925. Convention date, Jan. 18. [Class 83 (iii)] Spacing mechanism for a gear - cutting, grinding or like machine of the kind in which the worktable 1 is driven from a gear 6 through worm gearing 2, 3 has means for compensating for errors in the worm gearing, consisting of a cam 11 of a contour corresponding to the errors and engaging a roller on a lever arm 9 of an internally threaded member 8 coacting with a non-rotary threaded bushing 7 axially fixed on the worm shaft 2a. Thus as the arm 9 is rotated by the cam in operation, compensating axial movement is imparted to the worm shaft. |
