PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detection device and a fire detection method that rapidly detect heat from a sheet-like object to be monitored such as a solar panel using a simple and low-cost structure.SOLUTION: A fire detection device that detects a heating state of a sheet-like object to be monitored comprises: a sheet that is attached on a surface of the object to be monitored and has a substrate (10) that fuses at a predetermined low-fusing point, on which conductive patterns (20a, 20b) are provided; and a control section (40) that detects disconnection in the conductive patterns due to fusing of the substrate (10) on the sheet caused by heat from the object to be monitored by monitoring a voltage between the conductive patterns and detects a heating state of the object to be monitored. |
