PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: even when a cartridge not conforming to an image forming apparatus is inserted into an image forming apparatus body, the cartridge can be inserted into the depth of the image forming apparatus, and therefore, it is difficult to make a user recognize the non-conforming cartridge; and the configuration of the cartridge and the image forming apparatus becomes complexed when it is required to prevent incorrect insertion between a plurality of products, which may cause an increase in costs.SOLUTION: Only when a first contact part provided to a cartridge is brought into contact with a first contact target part provided to a movable member of an image forming apparatus body so as to move the movable member to a first retreat position, a second contact part provided to the cartridge can be brought into contact with a second contact target part provided to the movable body so as to further move the movable member to a second retreat position. Only when the movable member is moved to the second retreat position, the cartridge can be inserted into the image forming apparatus body. The first contact part and second contact part provided to the cartridge have the insertion trajectories regulated by a guide member provided to the image forming apparatus body. |
