This controller is provided with a setting unit and a control unit. The setting unit sets a drive schedule that stipulates the respective drive periods of a plurality of second apparatuses. The control unit drives the plurality of second apparatuses in accordance with the drive schedule. The setting unit shifts the drive period of at least one of the plurality of second apparatuses among a plurality of first apparatuses on the basis of unit cost information pertaining to the unit cost of electrical power and apparatus information pertaining to the electrical power and time needed for driving the plurality of first apparatuses. Afterwards, the setting unit sets the drive schedule in a manner so as to minimize electricity fees during a predetermined period in a range such that the sum of the power consumption of at least two second apparatuses having an overlapping drive period among the plurality of second apparatuses does not exceed a predetermined peak value. |
