An infant-supporting chair. The chair may include a seat and a tray assembly that includes a releasable mechanical latching system for retainingly engaging the tray assembly to the seat when the tray assembly is in a latching position. The chair may further include a tray guidance system that is configured to guide the tray assembly into the latching position. The tray guidance system may comprise at least one magnet feature in the seat and at least one other magnet feature in the tray assembly. Once latched, the tray may be slidably positioned relative to the seat while remaining latched thereto. The seat may be movably supported on a frame assembly and a seat positioning system may be included to selectively retain the seat at desired heights on the frame assembly.

1. An infant-supporting chair, comprising:
a seat comprising a first arrangement of magnetic elements, wherein said first arrangement of magnetic elements comprises at least one first seat magnet and at least one second seat magnet, wherein said seat further comprises first and second armrests, and wherein said first armrest supports said at least one first seat magnet and said second armrest supports said at least one second seat magnet; and a tray assembly releasably mountable to said seat when said tray assembly is in an engaged position relative to said seat, wherein said tray assembly comprises:
a tray latching system configured to releasably engage said seat;a second arrangement of magnetic elements, wherein said first arrangement of magnetic elements and said second arrangement of magnetic elements are configured to draw said tray assembly toward the engaged position when said tray assembly is in a range of positions relative to said seat that are sufficient to establish magnetic attraction between said first arrangement of magnetic elements and said second arrangement of magnetic elements;a first docking member configured to receive a portion of said first armrest therein; anda second docking member configured to receive a portion of said second armrest therein, andwherein said second arrangement of magnetic elements comprises:
at least one first docking magnet supported by said first docking member; andat least one second docking magnet supported by said second docking member.
