1. An elbow prosthesis comprising:
a capitellar implant configured to be implanted at a distal humerus and including an articulating head and a stem, the articulating head having a first articulating surface generally between a lateral side and a medial side, wherein a passage extends through the articulating head from the lateral side to the medial side, the articulating head further defining a counterbore formed at the lateral side and that connects with the passage, the stem having a proximal end and a connecting end, the connecting end having a first interlocking geometry and wherein the articulating head includes a second interlocking geometry, the first and second interlocking geometries configured to mate in an assembled position; and a bone screw having a shank and a head, the shank having a length greater than the passage through the articulating head, wherein the head is configured to nest in the counterbore of the articulating head in an implanted position, the shank is configured to pass through the passage and the connecting end of the stem in the implanted position, and wherein at least a portion of the shank extends proud from the medial side of the first articulating surface in the implanted position. |
