In one embodiment, a sensor device comprises a bias magnet, a field sensor die, a first set of one or more magnetic field sensor elements, a second set of one or more magnetic field sensor elements, a memory, and circuitry. The sensor device is configured to combine the sensed magnitudes from each of the magnetic field sensor elements of the first set to obtain a first set output, trim the sensed magnitudes from each of the one or more magnetic field sensor elements of the second set with one of the set of trim values to obtain a second set output, and combine the second set output with the first set output to provide an output signal.

A sensor system comprising: a bias magnet configured to generate a bias magnetic field contribution to a total magnetic field; at least one sensor die mechanically coupled to the bias magnet; a first set of one or more magnetic field sensor elements arranged on the at least one sensor die, wherein each of the one or more magnetic field sensor elements of the first set is configured to sense the total magnetic field in a first direction; and a second set of one or more magnetic field sensor elements arranged on the at least one sensor die and separated from the magnetic field sensor elements of the first set by a distance, wherein each of the one or more magnetic field sensor elements of the second set is configured to sense the total magnetic field in the first direction; a memory configured to store a set of trim values; and a circuitry configured to provide an output signal, wherein the circuitry is configured to trim at least one of the sensed magnetic fields from the magnetic field sensor elements of the first and second sets with the trim values to obtain a first set output and a second set output, and to combine the first set output with the second set output to provide the output signal.
