A method and apparatus for securing aluminum crown covers along the peripheral rim of a beverage can, said aluminum crown cover having a crown body with a planar surface thereon defining a peripheral lip thereat, crimped portion disposed along the base of said peripheral lip, and a corrugated flaring skirt extending downwardly from said crimped portion, characterized in that said apparatus comprising a holding means adapted to hold said beverage can, a crown cover mounting means provided above said holding means, and a crimping means disposed on top of said crown cover mounting means for securely crimping the upper side portion of said aluminum crown cover against said peripheral rim of said beverage can. |
