DEVICE FOR PRACTICING AERIAL SOCCER SKILLS

Described is a device and method for practicing aerial soccer control skills. The device has an elongated tether and a harness-type holder that has a plurality of straps configured to hold a soccer ball. The harness-type holder is attached to one end of the tether at a first site and to the other end of the tether at a second site that is spaced from the first site. The method comprises grasping an elongate tether with one hand, suspending a soccer ball that is attached to the elongate tether at a height that is at or slightly above the knee, and tapping the ball with the feet, knees or legs to cause the ball to move upwards or sideways in predetermined directions. The device enables a person to practice aerial soccer ball control skills without the need to retrieve the ball or play with a partner.
