The present invention is capable of easily recognizing whether route guide information outputted from a navigation device, to which an external apparatus can be connected, is provided by a navigation function of the apparatus or a navigation function of the device. The present invention includes: a navigation device (100) which outputs route guide information to HMI devices (104-110); and an external apparatus (102) which is connected to the navigation device and which is provided with a navigation function. The navigation device is provided with: an external apparatus detection means (322) which detects an input from the external apparatus; and an output control means (324) which controls outputs of route guide information to the HMI devices. When the external apparatus detection means detects an input from the external apparatus, the output control means outputs, to the HMI devices, route guide information provided by the navigation function included in the external apparatus, in an output mode different from a mode in which route guide information is outputted by a navigation function of the navigation device to the HMI devices.
