A dust storage device (1) compresses dust and stores the dust. The dust storage device (1) is provided with a drum (2), a closure section (6), and a seal (8). Dust is placed in the drum (2), and the drum (2) rotates. The closure section (6) closes a part of an opening (OI) formed in a first end (20) of the drum (2), the first end (20) being one of the opposite ends of the drum (2). The seal (8) seals between the first end (20) and the closure section (6). The seal (8) is provided with an annular packing (16), a protrusion (12), and a pressing section (14). The packing (16) is disposed along the outer peripheral surface (21) of the first end (20). The protrusion (12) protrudes in the radial direction (A) of the drum (2) from the outer peripheral surface (21) of the first end (20). The pressing section (14) is disposed outside the drum (2) in the radial direction (A) and faces the protrusion (12) with the packing (16) therebetween. The pressing section (14) presses the packing toward the protrusion (12). |
