A first optoelectronic component (20) is mounted on the top side (10) of the circuit board (1) and is electrically contacted by means of the conducting tracks (12). An edge region of the circuit board (1) is designed as a plug (3) for inserting into an electrical connection socket (4), wherein the conducting tracks (12) are led to the top side (10) and/or bottom side (11) in the region of the plug (3) and are exposed there in the uncontacted state. The exposed conducting tracks (12) in the region of the plug (3) are designed as plug-in contacts (30, 31) for the external contacting of the plug-in module (100) by means of the connection socket (4). In the intended operation, the main function of the optoelectronic plug-in module (100) lies in the production or light or the detection of electromagnetic radiation.
