A packet (1) of cigarettes (2) or other smokable articles, each having a first and a second end (201, 202), elongate in shape and extending along a longitudinal direction, comprises: a group (3) of cigarettes having a first zone (303), facing towards the first end of the cigarettes (2), and a second zone (304), longitudinally spaced from the first zone (303) and facing towards the second end of the cigarettes (2); a sealed wrapper (4) enclosing the group (3) of cigarettes, made from a film (401) of thermoplastic material and having an extraction opening though which the cigarettes (2) can be taken out; a sealing panel (402) applied to the opening of the sealed wrapper (4); a reinforcing element (5), made of thin cardboard, located inside the sealed wrapper (4) in contact with the group (3) of cigarettes to surround it at least partly, and having a front wall (501), a rear wall (502), two side walls (503) and a bottom wall (504) in contact with the first end (201) of the cigarettes (2). The reinforcing element (5), in the second zone (304) of the group (3) of cigarettes, annularly surrounds the group (3) of cigarettes and, in the first zone (303) of the group (3) of cigarettes, defines side openings (509). |
