摘要 Disclosed is an optical module based on amplitude modulation for transparently transmitting a monitoring signal in a band, which belongs to the technical field of communications. The optical module comprises a low-speed baseband amplitude overmodulation circuit, a laser drive circuit, a laser, an electric absorption signal modulation circuit, an electric absorption modulator, an avalanche photodiode, a transconductance amplifier, a limiting amplifier, an image current circuit and a low-frequency demodulation circuit. Compared with a traditional optical module, the optical module in the technical solution loads a monitoring signal onto an envelope of a bearer service signal through amplitude modulation, and shares an optical cable and channel resources with the bearer service signal, thereby saving channel resources. Moreover, a transparently transmitted monitoring signal is irrelevant to a bearer service signal protocol, and thus the optical module is high in use flexibility. Since the interior of the optical module is integrated with a low-speed baseband signal modulation and demodulation unit, the optical module can achieve the transparent transmission of the monitoring signal without additionally adding an optical functional unit, which is the most cost-effective solution for an application scenario where the monitoring signal needs to be transmitted.
