Provided are a password information authentication method, a password information authentication system, and a terminal, said password information authentication method comprising: upon obtaining an instruction to run a designated process, determining the type of operating system to which the designated process belongs, and preset biometric feature information corresponding to the operating system type (102); obtaining biometric feature information inputted by a user in connection with the designated process (104); determining whether the biometric feature information matches the preset biometric feature information (106); if it is determined that the biometric feature information matches the preset biometric feature information, then determining the password information authentication to be successful and running the designated process, said biometric feature information comprising any combination of any one or several of fingerprint feature information, iris feature information, facial feature information, and voice feature information (108). The method improves data security in terminals having multiple operating systems; at the same time, the steps of encryption and decryption are simplified, improving user experience.
