[Class 53] The plates of an accumulator are enclosed in an inner tank 3 entirely or partly open at the bot. tom. The upper end of the tank is provided with ribs 6 which project towards corresponding ribs on the outer container 4 and thus form a gutter which is filled with sealing material 1 such as pitch or rubber strip. The cover 8 is supported on ribs 7 projecting inwardly from the tank 3, a tight joint being made by sealing material 5. The walls of the tank 3 may be perforated and may be provided with handle lugs 2. |
