The present disclosure provides a paper sheet processing device having: a discrimination unit which forms a discrimination unit conveyance path for conveying paper sheets, and which has, on the conveyance path, a reading means for reading characteristics of the paper sheets; and a conveyance unit to which the discrimination unit can be attached in a detachable manner, whereby when the discrimination unit is attached thereto, the conveyance unit forms in conjunction with the discrimination unit a conveyance unit conveyance path which is connected to the discrimination unit conveyance path and conveys the paper sheets in a different direction to that of the discrimination unit conveyance path. |
