This electronic device is provided with: a first image pickup unit that captures images of a first image pickup region; a second image pickup unit that, when the first image pickup unit is capturing images of the first image pickup region, captures images of a second image pickup region having a wider angle than the first image pickup region; a display unit that has a display screen; a detection unit; a determination unit; and an estimation unit. The detection unit detects, on the basis of an image signal from the second image pickup unit, the position of a moving object moving in the second image pickup region. In a case in which the determination unit determines, on the basis of the position of the moving object detected by the detection unit, that the moving object is present outside the first image pickup region and inside the second image pickup region, the estimation unit estimates, on the basis of the position of the moving object detected by the detection unit, an entry region, at the peripheral edge of the first image pickup region, through which the moving object will pass when entering the first image pickup region. The display unit displays, on the display screen, first notification information notifying the entry region together with a first live view image captured by the first image pickup unit. |
