The invention relates to a diffuser (1) which comprises two outer walls (2a, 2b) having outer (3a) and inner (3b) surfaces, one surface of which is pervious to the volatile substance and one surface of which has a release area (7) that changes shape following release pressure manually exerted by the user to activate diffusion; an inner plate (6) between the two outer walls (2a, 2b), the entire plate being rigidly connected, provided with communicating and opening cracks (10), transversely compressible, and provided with a cavity (12) therein that receives and holds a volatile substance capsule (13) in position; and a volatile substance capsule (13) which, in the integrity thereof, contains a volatile substance and is adjacent to the bottom plate (6) and the pervious outer wall (2a, 2b), and which is breakable by means of the release pressure, thus releasing the volatile substance such that, before use, the volatile substance capsule (13) has the integrity thereof, and in order to activate diffusion of the volatile substance, the user exerts the release pressure on the shape-changing release area (7) corresponding to the capsule (13), thus breaking and releasing the volatile substance that diffuses towards the inner surface (3b) of the pervious outer wall (2a, 2b), directly on one hand and indirectly on the other hand via the communicating and opening cracks (10) in the inner plate (6), then diffuses through the pervious outer wall (2a, 2b) and then into the surrounding atmosphere. |
