This indoor unit of air conditioners is equipped with: a casing which has a first suction port at the top thereof and a first blowout port at the bottom thereof; an air blower which is provided downstream from the first suction port within the casing, and has a second suction port at the top thereof; a heat exchanger which is provided downstream from the air blower within the casing, and has a plurality of fins and a plurality of heat transfer pipes; an air passage outside chamber which is provided lateral to the heat exchanger within the casing; a heat transfer pipe storage portion which is provided in the air passage outside chamber and stores one end of the heat transfer pipes; and an electric component box which is provided in the air passage outside chamber and stores a controller. The indoor unit has an air passage that provides communication between the space between the first suction port and the second suction port and the air passage outside chamber. |
