Provided is a time-of-flight distance measuring device that comprises: a light emitting element (4) that emits, into space, modulated light which has been modulated by a pattern having a cycle period; a driving unit (3) that drives the light emitting element (4); a light receiving element (6) that allocates and stores in a plurality of storage capacitors charge corresponding to incident light including reflected light resulting from the modulated light being reflected by a target; a control unit (5) that combines a plurality of exposure periods corresponding to a plurality of different modulation frequencies and controls exposure of the light receiving element (6); and a signal processing unit (11) that calculates the distance from the device itself to the target by using a value sampled by the light receiving element (6). The control unit (5) controls the exposure of the light receiving element (6) so as to have sensitivity to a prescribed higher harmonic in an exposure period corresponding to a harmonic frequency lower than the highest harmonic frequency among a plurality of harmonic frequencies. As a result of the control unit (5) controlling the exposure of the light receiving element (6) so as to have sensitivity to a prescribed higher harmonic, the signal processing unit (11) detects the duty of an emitted light waveform. |
