The present disclosure relates to an image-based communication method and device, the method comprising: detecting whether a preset communication trigger condition has been satisfied when a target figure image is displayed; if so, determining, according to a preset binding record, contact information of a contact person corresponding to the target figure image; and calling a preset communication application, and initiating, according to the contact information, a communication session with the contact person. The device comprises: a detection unit, an information determination unit, and a communication initiation unit. The present disclosure can enable a user to rapidly contact a person in an image when browsing images, so that the user is not required to perform a series of complex operation, such as quitting an image browsing application, launching a communication application, searching for a contact person, initiating a communication session, etc. The present disclosure has a rapid and convenient process, and can considerably reduce user operation, thereby providing better user experience. |
