PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine that allows a user to distinguish the pitches of sounds and thereby easily recognize the set amounts of sewing width and sewing speed which are variable at all times, and is easy to operate.SOLUTION: A sewing machine 1 includes: a sewing machine body 2 which includes an adjustment section (a needle bar drive actuator motor 28, a main motor 27, and a microcomputer 2A built in the body) for variably adjusting at least one of a sewing width and a sewing speed, and which performs sewing operation; a setting section (a pedal 2) which is operated by hand or foot and variably sets at least one of the sewing width and the sewing speed; and a controller (a foot controller 3) which includes an electric conversion section (a variable resistor unit 5) for converting the set amount set by the setting section into an electric signal and transmitting it to the adjustment section, and which is separate from the sewing machine body 2. The controller includes a sound output section (a sound source 67, a speaker 68, and a microcomputer 69 built in the controller) which outputs a sound of a different pitch in response to the electric signal. |
