摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation film having high durability, showing a good alignment state of a liquid crystal compound in an optical anisotropic layer, and hardly inducing unevenness when the film is assembled in a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an optical compensation film, comprising an alignment layer and an optical anisotropic layer containing a polymerizable liquid crystal compound, which are at least laminated in this order on a support body having a thickness of 45 μm or less. The method includes a step of applying an optical anisotropic layer composition containing a polymerizable liquid crystal compound in a layer state on the alignment layer and then irradiating the composition with UV rays. The UV ray irradiation step includes one or more steps of heating the film while controlling a surface temperature of the film. The highest temperature on the film surface in the irradiation step with UV rays is 80°C or lower; and a temperature difference between the highest temperature of the film surface in one step of irradiating the film with UV rays and a temperature of the film surface one second prior to the time when the temperature reaches the highest temperature, is 5°C or less. The optical anisotropic layer contains a predetermined boronic acid.
