PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance device capable of achieving high work efficiency even when articles are temporarily stored on a conveyor line, without a hindrance to conveyance of articles thereafter.SOLUTION: A conveyance device 1 forming a part of a conveyor line on which articles are conveyed includes: conveyance means 2; and elevating means 3 for elevating the conveyance means 2. The conveyance means 2 has two independent conveyance systems 6, 7, by which ordinary conveyance operation is performed. In the ordinary conveyance operation, conveyance operation for moving a conveyance system in a high positioned attitude, in a forward direction, and conveyance preparation operation in which a conveyance system in a low positioned attitude is moved in a backward direction, or is not moved in either direction are performed in parallel, and at predetermined timing, the attitude of the conveyance system in the low positioned attitude not having contributed to conveyance is changed into the high positioned attitude, and after that, the attitude of the conveyance system in the high positioned attitude having contributed to conveyance earlier is changed into the low positioned attitude. |
