PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and securely charge a vehicle.SOLUTION: A charging system according to an embodiment comprises a plurality of charging units, a control apparatus, and a management apparatus. The management apparatus manages a storage battery included in each of the plurality of charging units, by dividing the storage battery into a plurality of blocks. The management apparatus assigns either of a first state, second state, or third state to each of the plurality of blocks; and, when the plurality of charging units include a first charging unit having a first block to which the first state is assigned, outputs an instruction to the control apparatus so that power stored in the first block can be distributed to a second charging unit other than the first charging unit through a trunk power distribution line. The first state shows that power is not used by any of the plurality of charging units; the second state shows that power is being used by any of the plurality of charging units; and the third state shows that available power is not stored. |
