PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controlling device that allows prolonging the life cycle of an electrolytic capacitor while maintaining stability of drive of a motor.SOLUTION: A motor controlling device for controlling a motor includes: a rectifier circuit receiving a single-phase AC power source; a first capacitor for smoothing DC power obtained by the rectifier circuit; a switch for connecting or disconnecting between the rectifier circuit and the smoothing capacitor; an inverter for converting the DC power into AC power and driving the motor; and a controller for controlling the switch and the inverter. The controller includes connection control means for controlling connection and disconnection between the rectifier circuit and the smoothing capacitor by the switch on the basis of a predetermined condition; and inverter control means for controlling the inverter in a first control mode or a second control mode on the basis of a predetermined condition. |
