PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate that suppresses a reduction in transmittance even in a high-temperature environment and exhibits excellent durability, when used in an image display device having a front transparent member 40 such as a touch panel and a front transparent plate, bonded on a visible side of an image display panel 80 with an adhesive layer 32 therebetween; and a manufacturing method of the polarizing plate.SOLUTION: A polarizing plate comprises a transparent protective film having the amount of saturation water absorption of 3.2 g/mor less and bonded on at least one surface of a polarizer 11, and has the moisture content of 7 g/mor less. The transparent protective film bonded on the at least one surface of the polarizer 11 preferably has the water vapor permeability of 300 g/m24h. |
