A tape cartridge is provided that allows the platen supporting shaft of a tape printing apparatus to be supported at both ends thereof with a simple structure and a simple operation. Disclosed is a tape cartridge 100 attachably/detachably installed on a cartridge installation portion 5 of a tape printing apparatus 1 having a cantilevered platen supporting shaft 48 inserted in a platen roller 120 of the tape cartridge 100, the tape cartridge 100 including: the platen roller 120 rotatably supported by a platen supporting shaft, a cartridge casing 130 in which the platen roller 120 is mounted; and a fitting portion 236 that is provided on a top wall portion 156 of the cartridge casing 130 and on which the tip end side of the platen supporting shaft 48 fits when the tape cartridge 100 is installed on the cartridge installation portion 5. |
