摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device which can secure a necessary reforming component amount while avoiding the wasteful operation of a plasma generator even if operation conditions of an engine differ from one another.SOLUTION: The control device of an engine comprises: an EGR passage (8) for refluxing a part of exhaust being a gas generated after the mixed air of a theoretical air-fuel ratio is burnt to an intake pipe (2); carbon hydride adding means (33) for adding a carbon hydride to exhaust which flows in the EGR passage (8); a reforming catalyst (31) for reforming the added carbon hydride to hydrogen in the EGR passage (8); a plasma generator (41) for generating plasma containing hydrogen ions by adding a prescribed voltage to the exhaust which flows in the EGR passage (8); and ratio change means (21) for changing a ratio of a hydrogen ion amount which can be obtained by the plasma generator (41) with respect to a hydrogen molecule amount which can be obtained by the reforming of the reforming catalyst (31) depending on a reforming capacity of the reforming catalyst (31).
