PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve, at low costs, an apparatus security system and a reader using an IC chip of an electromagnetic induction method or an electromagnetic coupling method.SOLUTION: A security system 1 performs signal transmission in an electrostatic coupling method when a part card 30 is arranged close to a reader/writer 20 by a user, and a pair of conductive plates 32A and 32B and a pair of conductive members 22A and 22B face to each other, in order to determine whether or not an IC chip 31 of the part card 30 is appropriate (S3a); performs signal transmission in an electromagnetic induction method or an electromagnetic coupling method when a lending card 40 is arranged close to the reader/writer 20 by the user, and a R/W loop antenna 23 and a loop antenna 43 of the lending card 40 face to each other, in order to determine whether or not an IC chip 41 of the lending card 40 is appropriate (S3d); and when determining that the IC chip 31 is appropriate and the IC chip 41 is appropriate, permits operation of an operation unit 12. |
