The method of manufacturing a composite material consisting of the reinforcement (2) consisting of particles and/or fibres and of the thermoplastic binder (3), including mixing the binder (3) and the reinforcement (2), melting the binder (3) in the resulting mixture (1), forming the mixture (1) and its subsequent cooling. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that, prior to the melting process, in the first step, the particles of the binder (3) are treated in a plasma discharge, so that functional -OH and/or -NH2 and/or -COOH groups come into existence on their surface. In the second step, the treated particles of the binder (3) are mixed with the reinforcement (2), in the third step, the pre-prepared mixture (1) of the binder (3) and the reinforcement (2) is plasticized, thereby forming a secondary bond between the functional groups and the polar groups on the surface of the reinforcement (2). The subject of the invention is also a composite material produced as described above. |
