PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog electronic timepiece having a system for preventing malfunction due to an electromagnetic action between stepping motors, without requiring an extra space and components even when the plurality of stepping motors are mounted on the timepiece, the system being applicable to even a small-sized timepiece without imposing any configuration of the stepping motors causing the layout difficulty.SOLUTION: While at least one stepping motor 100 out of a plurality of proximate stepping motors is driven, coil ends of the other suspended stepping motors 200 are put in a high impedance state so as to prevent a current from flowing to the coils of the suspended stepping motors, thereby generating no magnetic flux and reducing malfunction of the suspended stepping motors 200. |
