PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle type electric water heater having steam-less function.SOLUTION: There is provided an electric water heater comprising a container main body storing a liquid container and heating means; a lid covering a top opening part of the container main body; a power supply table comprising power supply means on which the container main body is detachably loaded and with which power supplementation to the heating means in the container main body is performed in the same loading condition. The lid comprises a steam inlet communicated to inside of the inner container; a boiling detection passage leading steam introduced from the steam inlet to a steam sensor outside of the lid; and a steam cooling passage which is communicated to downstream side of the steam sensor in the boiling detection passage and with which steam through the steam sensor is forced to make a detour and cooled. The steam after boiling is condensed in a process of flowing in the steam cooling passage and recovered into the liquid container. |
