[Class 40 (v)] It is found that when a saw-tooth oscillation is amplified, a distortion of the kind shown in Fig. 2 occurs, the portion 10 of the wave form degenerating into a curve 11. According to the invention, this is overcome by connecting in the grid or output circuits of the amplifier a filter which passes high frequencies better than low frequencies. This circuit preferably comprises either a condenser 10 in parallel with a resistance 11, or a resistance 12 in series with a choke 13.
