A method and an apparatus for generating image data are provided. Image data of an original image is obtain by a photosensitive device. Based on a plurality of brightness values included in each color light in each of display pixels of the original image, a maximum brightness distribution range corresponding to each color light sensed by a photosensitive unit corresponding to each display pixel is obtained. The brightness values in the maximum brightness distribution range corresponding to each color light sensed by each photosensitive unit are added to obtain an added brightness value of each color light sensed by each photosensitive unit. The added brightness value of each color light sensed by each photosensitive unit is set as pixel data of corresponding display pixel of an adjusted image. |
