PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner which can clean corner parts which tend to remain non-cleaned without providing a complicated mechanism and/or performing complicated control, and which has high cleaning performance for the corner parts.SOLUTION: The autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner includes: an autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner body; a left driving wheel and a right driving wheel each provided to the undersurface of the body and rotationally driven independently; obstruction detection means detecting obstructions around the body; and control means autonomously controlling the driving means on the basis of information from the obstruction detection means. The curvature radius of a front-side curved surface as a mainly moving direction of curved surfaces forming the outer periphery of the body is larger than the curvature radius of a back-side curved surface, and also the width of the front-side curved surface is narrower than the width of the back-side curved surface. |
