PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of shortening a focusing time required for focus adjustment when displaying an image during photography.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: an image generation section R100 for generating image data for display from right image (image for right eye) data and left image (image for left eye) data obtained by an imaging element; and a live view display section R200 for acquiring and displaying the image data for display. A subject specification section R300 specifies a subject in a photographic image. A subject distance calculation section R400 acquires information indicating the specified subject from the subject specification section R300, and calculates a distance from the imaging device to the subject by using the right image and left image data. A lens driving section 122 acquires distance information from the imaging device to the subject via a control system switching section R600, and allows a focus lens to move to focus on the subject positioned at the distance calculated by the subject distance calculation section R400. |
