PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety cover of a pump shaft that can prevent damage due to contact and catch to the pump shaft in work of initial adjustment and readjustment for packing fastening of a pump subjected to shaft seal with grand packing, and improves workability.SOLUTION: A safety cover 30 comprises a pair of semi-cylindrical bodies 31 having a flange 32 with a retaining hole at one end in a longitudinal direction, a cylindrical body 34 formed by combining the semi-cylindrical bodies encloses a pump shaft 2 of a shaft exposure place at a coaxial position through a gap, and the retaining hole is fixed to a packing presser 5 with a bolt 6 for fastening and a nut 7 for fastening. |
