The surgical tool includes a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag. The handpiece includes an antenna for wirelessly transmitting RF energy, and a coupler that is electrically isolated from the antenna and the RFID tag and that is configured to guide the transmitted RF energy to the RFID tag. |
