PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve filtration efficiency when filtering a liquid to be treated having high settleability.SOLUTION: A vertical filtration concentrator comprises: a cylindrical filtration screen 2 having a central axis O extending vertically and receiving supply of a liquid A to be treated thereinto; a screw 3 accommodated inside the filtration screen 2 and rotated about the central axis O; and a filtration container 4 provided to at least cover an outer peripheral part and a bottom part of the filtration screen 2 and forming a filtration space S, holding a filtrate B filtered from the liquid A to be treated, between it and the filtration screen 2. An upper part of the filtration container 4 is provided with a filtrate discharge part 7 discharging the filtrate B held in the filtration space S, a lower part of the filtration container 4 is provided with drawing means 8 drawing solid matter D precipitated in the filtration space S and intermittently discharging it, and in a bottom part of the filtration container 4, the bottom of the filtration space S is formed into a flat surface perpendicular to the central axis O and the bottom part of the filtration screen 2 projects downward to be formed into a recessed conical shape about the central axis O.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
