A tape printing device or the like in which the misalignment of a loaded tape cartridge can be restrained is provided. A tape printing device includes: a cartridge loading section 5 in which a tape cartridge 100 is loaded; a platen drive shaft 45 which outputs a forward rotational force to feed a print tape 102 of the loaded tape cartridge 100; a take-up drive shaft 47 which outputs a reverse rotational force to take up an ink ribbon 110 of the loaded tape cartridge 100; and a main body-side abutting portion 65 which is provided in the cartridge loading section 5 and abuts against the tape cartridge 100 so as to resist the rotational forces generated on the tape cartridge 100 by the platen drive shaft 45 and the take-up drive shaft 47.
