A belt restraining frame 112 includes a transversal portion 118, two side portions 120 and a middle portion 122, where the side and middle portions 120, 122 are fixed to the transversal portion 118 and hinged to a body 110 of a vehicle child seat base 102 at their ends 120A, 122A. The frame rotates between a release position where middle portion 118 rises away from an upper surface 124 of the body 110, and a clamping position where middle portion 118 is adjacent to the upper surface 124 for restraining an anchoring belt B lying transversely across the body. The side portions 120 may be hinged to the body at its two lateral sides 110C, 110D and a latch 130 on the frame may lock the frame to the body. Also disclosed is a child seat base 102 with an integral anchoring belt (152, fig. 13) and storage cavity (150, fig. 13). |
