[Class 20 (iii)] Sliding-folding windows, doors, &c., particularly metal-framed windows comprising. a number of leaves connected by hinges so that they can be folded back and caused to slide along fixed tracks located at the bottom and top edges of the window, are fitted with lower supporting rollers mounted in a housing which guides the supporting roller along the lower track. The window G, Fig. 1, cooperates with the fixed frame F and has an arm 8 carrying the pivot pin 5 of the roller 4 running in the fixed upper guide-track 1. Secured to the lower rail of the window is a member 24 which is journalled on a pin 12 carried by a housing 13. The housing 13 is made originally as a circular base for the pin 12 and is then machined to have parallel faces 18, Fig. 4, a longitudinal slot 14, and a deep peripheral channel 19, Fig. 3. A support roller 15 is mounted in the slot 14, on a pin 16, and guide-rollers 20, 21 are mounted in the peripheral channel 19 on pins 22. The roller 15 bears on the upper face 9 of the fixed guide 2 and the rollers 20, 21 engage the side faces 10, 11 of the guide 2. |
