PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica glass crucible and a method for manufacturing the same capable of suppressing generation of brown rings or open bubbles on the inner surface of the silica glass crucible when pulling a silicon single crystal under a long-time high-temperature condition.SOLUTION: In this silica glass crucible for pulling a silicon single crystal, including an inner surface layer formed of a synthesized silica powder and an outer surface layer formed of a natural silica powder, the inner surface layer is formed by melting synthesized silica powder in which the intensity ratio D1/D2 of peak intensity D1 at the wavelength of 492 cmto peak intensity D2 at the wavelength of 606 cmmeasured by Raman method is ≥1.8 and ≤2.0. |
