PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by improving connection strength of a metallic rod and a spring seat composed of a synthetic resin molding configuring a hydraulic automatic tensioner.SOLUTION: A lower end portion of a metallic rod 5 is slidably fitted in a sleeve 4 raising from an inner bottom surface of a cylinder 1, a return spring 8 is incorporated between a spring seat 7 composed of a synthetic resin molding and disposed at an upper portion of the rod 5, and a bottom surface of the cylinder 1 to energize the cylinder 1 and the rod 5 in an extension direction, and a check valve 16 is incorporated in a path 15 communicating a pressure chamber 6 formed inside of the sleeve 4 with a reservoir chamber 14 disposed around the sleeve 4. A thickness cutout portion 31 having engagement portions in a circumferential direction and an axial direction, is disposed on the upper portion of the rod 5, and the spring seat 7 molded with the resin is engaged in the thickness cutout portion 31 as a detent, and further axially locked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
