PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter which can prevent abnormal heat generation by a boost diode while preventing a continuous action of a semiconductor switching element at the maximum oscillation frequency.SOLUTION: A DC-DC converter comprises: a semiconductor switching element for controlling a current flowing through an inductance under on-off control; an output capacitor for accumulating power output from the inductance via a boost diode; a bypass diode for supplying a DC voltage applied to the inductance to the output capacitor by bypassing the inductance; and a switch control part for performing on-off control on the semiconductor switching element at a switching frequency with limited maximum oscillation frequency. Specifically, the DC-DC converter comprises operation frequency suppression means for lowering the switching frequency by delaying a subsequent operation cycle for the semiconductor switching element when an overcurrent is detected during switching operation by the switch control part at the maximum oscillation frequency. |
