PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic-transmission control device capable of regularly and appropriately setting the starting timing of shift-up and thereby previously preventing a state that an engine speed exceeds a warning speed during the shift-up on a downward slope road or the like to avoid the unnecessary warning of an overspeed therefrom.SOLUTION: A control device previously stores a speed drop time T as a required time from a start of a fuel cut during the shift-up to a start of the decrease of an engine speed Ne. During an increase in engine speed Ne accompanied by vehicle's acceleration, from an increase degree of the engine speed Ne and the speed drop time T, the control device specifies the shift-up starting timing that precedes the arrival of the warning speed NeUp of the engine speed Ne by the speed drop time T (S12). When the shift-up starting timing is specified before the determination of a target gear stage tgtG of a high-gear side from a shift map, the control device forcedly starts the shift-up (S16, S18). |
