PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium exhibiting, in a case where a neutral paper is used as a support medium and where a sulfonylurea compound is employed as a coloring agent, an excellent blank paper shelf stability.SOLUTION: The provided thermosensitive recording medium is a thermosensitive recording medium possessing, atop a support medium, an undercoat layer including a pigment and a binder and, atop the undercoat layer, a thermosensitive recording layer including a leuco dye and a coloring agent in which the support medium is a neutral paper, the undercoat layer includes a polycarboxylic, and the thermosensitive recording layer includes a sulfonylurea compound as the coloring agent. It is desirable for the inclusion ratio of the polycarboxylic acid within the undercoat layer with respect to the total solid content of the undercoat layer to be 5-40 mass%. |
