The radar performance monitoring device has a receiver, particularly detector (38), for receiving a transmission signal, from which a time variation of the frequency is non-linear. The transmission signal is transmitted from a radar unit (10) of a pulse compression radar apparatus (1). A response signal generator is provided for generating a response signal, from which a change in the frequency is linear. The response signal is sent to the radar unit by the response signal generator in response to the transmission signal received by the receiver. The response signal is generated so that a gradient of the linear response signal coincides with a portion of the non-linear transmission signal. An independent claim is included for a method for measuring the radar performance. |
